Buddy
3-year-old Male Mixed Breed
I’m a big silly boy with a big personality! I love to throw my weight around and jump in your lap. I may want snuggles, I might want dinner … who knows? But I’ll tell you about it either way.
The people here don’t know much about where I came from but what they do know is that I have a high prey drive and I will chase things in my back yard and on walks sometimes. They just get me so excited to run around! That being said, you should be really very strong in order to walk me.
I do prefer a home with a fully fenced yard so that you can work on my leash skills there until I’m ready to head out into the big wide world. I shouldn’t go home with any cats or small animals either.
Submit an inquiry about me today! Visit windsorhumane.org to learn more about Buddy and all of the other adoptable animals at the Windsor/Essex County Humane Society.

The CityHousing Hamilton (CHH) development of 55-units of affordable housing has officially opened at the corner of Bay and Cannon Streets in Hamilton. The first residents started moving into the building before Christmas.
Said Mayor Andrea Horwath. ” Here at 106 Bay Street North, we have a brand new 55-unit CityHousing Hamilton building, with a good mix of both single and family units that will be a blend of deeply affordable, rent geared-to-income, and moderately affordable – meaning half market rent. “The opening of this building marks our ongoing commitment as a city to providing affordable housing for Hamiltonians. Over the past six months, CityHousing Hamilton has added 79 brand new spaces for people to call home, with another 82 projected to open by summer,” said Nrinder Nann, President, CityHousing Hamilton Board and Ward 3 Councillor.
Some of the transportation features of the building at 106 Bay Street North include a car-share program, with two car-share cars available directly on site. All households will receive memberships to Hamilton Bike Share which are also available nearby. The building is close to HSR and GO bus stops and is also within walking distance of a future LRT station.
The building features 35 one-bedroom units, and 20 three-bedroom units uniquely designed for families. The project replaces 45 (of 91) deeply affordable rent geared-to-income (RGI) units from the Jamesville site and adds 10 new moderately affordable half-market units to Hamilton’s housing supply. As is the standard for all new CityHousing Hamilton buildings, 20 per cent of units are barrier-free to meet or exceed Accessibility for Ontarians with Disabilities Act (AODA) standards. The building is Passive House certified to deliver near-net zero energy performance.
CityHousing Hamilton has a portfolio of 7,142 units of affordable housing in the city, providing homes for more than 13,000 Hamiltonians. CityHousing Hamilton manages close to 50 per cent of the purpose-built affordable rental stock in Hamilton.

With a Nanos poll showing some growth in the Ontario Liberal support, Party Leader Bonnie Crombie was in Toronto today focusing on health care and again slamming Doug Ford for calling a snap election. The Naos Poll showed the Ontario Liberals at 30.9 percent in voter intentions –13 points behind the Ford PCs. It’s the first time the Liberals have reached the 30 percent mark since Crombie took over the party leadership. The NDP were at 18.8 percent and the Greens down to just 4 percent.
Doug Ford, the leader of the Ontario Progressive Conservative party, held a news conference in Oakville. He announced that a re-elected PC government would ban Chinese state-owned companies from buying or taking equity Ontario government-funded energy, critical mineral or infrastructure. On U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to impose 25 per cent tariffs on steel and aluminum imports Ford promised a “hard response” adding “our friends south of the border will wake up real quick.”
In Niagara NDP Leader Marit Stiles says if her party forms government she would establish safe nurse-to-patient ratios so patients get more care and nurses don’t burn out. She also promised to restore services to the two hospitals in Port Colborne and Fort Erie that had been downgraded to urgent care centres. Stiles says the NDP would also hire at least 15,000 nurses over three years at a cost of $1.5 billion.
Green Party Leader Mike Schreiner toured a YWCA women’s shelter being constructed in Cambridge, where he discussed the party’s solutions to the crisis of caring in Ontario. He was also scheduled to tour a counselling and addictions services facility later today.
